In this 3-hr PDA class we will focus on essential oils that are classified as base notes. These oils have the closest affinity to Yuan Qi (our essence/DNA, potential in life) and are the most mysterious, precious and longest lasting of the oils. Commonly derived from woods, roots and resins they address chronic ailments. Additionally, these oils are closely associated with sexuality, creativity, meditation, and the deeper levels of the subconscious mind. Common TCM functions include, Calming the Shen, Nourishing Yin, Nourishing Blood, and Descending Yang Rising. Examples of oils that will be discussed include, Rose, Jasmine, Myrrh, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Spikenard and more.
